Part Two Program the Tivo Remote to Control a Zvox or Sony Soundbar
1. Press the Tivo button on the Tivo remote. From here, the exact wording may differ depending on the software running on your Tivo system, but the general steps should be accurate.
2. Navigate to Settings & Messages
3. Go to Remote, CableCARD, and & Devices
4. Select Remote Control Setup
5. On the Remote Control Setup page, go to Part 2: A/V volume and mute.
6. Occasionally, a Tivo system will have a built in ZVOX code. To check this, navigate to the bottom of the brand list and see if ZVOX is there. If so, follow the onscreen instructions to program in code 2065. If your Tivo doesn’t have ZVOX listed as a brand, choose Sony.
7. Confirm that code 1176 is listed on the Sony page. If it is, follow the onscreen instructions to program that code in.
8. Test the volume and mute controls. If they work, you are done. If they don't work try a different Sony code in step 7.
